A i i a I • a i • « «• a 1 a « •OAK FOREST — Two firemen have been promoted to higher ranks, according to an announcement made last week by the Fire Department.The two, James T. Pioth and William J. Schulz, have been appointed to the positions of captain and assistant chief, respectively.Schulz has been appointed to the rank of assistant chief as of Aug. 14. He has lived in Oak Forest for the last eight years.He started on the Fire Department in December1968. In May, 1971, he waspromoted to an engineer.In January, 1973, he wasappointed to the rank of lieutenant, in March, 1975, to captain and then to assistant chief.Schulz, who is also a certified emergency medicaltechnician, and his wife Judy, have been married twelve years and have two daughters, Linda and Laura.Pioth also was appointed tothe rank of captain on Aug. 14. He has lived in Oak Forest for the past 12 years. He started on the Fire Department as a junior fireman in 1963. In April, 1966, he left the department to serve in the army until 1969.In 1969, he served as a fireman until Fed. 28, 1972,whenrank of engineer and on Sept. 16, 1972, to the rank of lieutenant until his recent promotion to captaintRioth, who is also one of the department’s paramedics, and his wife Claudia have been married five years and have one son, Jimmy.PIOTHSCHULZ
