Millerwed in candlelight ceremonyIn an impressive ceremony in the Church of the Nazarene at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. August 20,Miss Carol} n Kay Johnston,daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Chester K. Johnston of this city became the bride of Paul Irvin Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs.Bussell Miller, also of Keokuk.Miss Ann Porter of Ottumwa provided appropriate nuptial selections on the organ and accompanied Jerry Miller, brother of the bridegroom who sang during the ceremony and as the couple knelt at the altar. Traditional wedding marches were used for the precessional and the recessional.The Rev. Chester K. Johnston, father of the bride and the Rev. Everet Davis, uncle of the bridegroom, from Rupert, Idaho, officiated at the ceremony in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives.Arch of greeneryAn archway entwined with greenery, white satin bows and wedding bells centered the altar where the couple made their vows. Adding to the setting were two pedestal baskets of white and lavendar gladioli with white bows, and two seven-tiered can-delabras with white candles and lavendar bows.
