Swings Into High Gear On Labor Day-- - ■«-,«—————-—■-~-—a-Ox Hill Fair ToWith Harvest ServicePLUMVILLE — The annual Ox Hill Community Fair will begin Monday at the fairgrounds which arelocated just, off Route 85 between Plumville and Home.. , • 1The fair’s opening will be preceded by the annual Ox Hill Community Harvest Day service on Sundayafternoon at the fairgrounds.Rev. David Bickett, pastor of the Plumville and ;Beraccha United Presbyterian churches, will be in charge of the program. Guest speaker will be Rev. Joseph Gilkey, pastor of-the Marion Center Methodist Church.Program SetMajor events on Labor Day will include the annual Ox Hil! School Reunion, beginning at 2 p.m., and Children’s Day events which include contests at 2 p.m. and a pet show at 7 p.m.The events arc open to children 16 years of age and younger.Also scheduled on Labor Day will be the queen and princess contests at 8:15 a.m. The new winners will be crowned by the 1964 title-holders, Liz Cain and Nicki Corosu.. * ’ » Monday evening s schedule also features a neighborhood program.On Tuesday, judging will begin at 9 a.m.Evening attractions will be the annual show by the Indiana Trail Riders and a concert by the Marion Center Joint High School Cadet Band under the direction of Robert Seibert.Earl Streams will be announcer for the horse show.
