BRIDGE PLAYERS DELIGHT - Austin had its share of Lufkinltes▼isttlnf there for the bridge tournament. MICKEY PATTERSON,MARIE i EATHERWOOD, ALICE WILLIFORD, BII IJE BOB CARSON, BL ANCHE BROWDER, SARA ROPER, MARGARET ROOT, HELEN CHRISTIE, HILDA MITCHELL and PAT BROUGHTON all played and scored well, In addition to a couple of Lufkin fellows who slipped off to fo over for the sessions on Saturday and Sunday. It must hare been an interesting tournament because on the way home, one car full of ladies were so deep in their discussion of the yarious duplicate boards played that they missed the turn-off of die Interstate Highway 35 and did not even discover it until they wire only a few miles from Waco. Oh, well, I guess that is Just part of the game too. Kind* like being a Saturday Morning Quarterback.
