Fund for Orphaned Children LaunchedResidents of the Sherman School area today announced that a drive has been launched to raise funds for the eight children of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Erickson, orphaned when their parents were slain in a murder and suicide last week.IIThe drive is headed by th e school Parent - Teachers Association and the Mothers Club. Mrs. Richard Svengaard is president of the PTA, and Mrs. Harold Gardow is president of the Mothers Club.Mrs. Svengaard explained that although the welfare department will provide the essential care of the children, the funds raised are designed to give them a more normal life, such as bicycles or music lessons which are not provided by the welfare department The American National Bank has been named depository fcr the fund, and a trustee to administer it will be named later by the court.1IThe children range in age from one to 15.
