Crown JoAnn Will9 IAnd Roger Glawe King and QueenJoAnn Will, daughter, of Mr. and Mrs. Herb Will, was crowned queen of Homecoming Day at an impressive and colorful crowning ceremony during the half of the Aurelia-Primghar football game Friday night. Roger Glawe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Glawe, was chosen king and was i crowned at the pep meeting held in the afternoon.Half time ceremonies got underway with the high school marching band leading the way. They entered the football field from the north end playing “Fan Fare and “Old Lang Syne” as they marched down to the middle of the gridiron. Then the band went into thd' “HI” formation and played “Hail, Hail”.A letter “A” was then formed by the band and then they played “Alma Mater”, extending a welcome to all the alumini. This- was also the processional march for the king and queen and attendants and the prince and princess to come forth to be presented to the homecoming crowd. They were escorted by the cheerleaders, Dorothy Ann Bengtson and Marilyn Minkler. The queen was crowned by Earl Wilson, student manager.After the crowning ceremonies, the president of the junior high, Dean Nelson, was presented with the rotating prize for the winning class float which was a life-sized bulldog.£*5T he ^e'er 1 e aders~^wf Sh to thSftTrt everyone for their fine cooperation in making this Homecoming one of the best in Aurelia.
