Night clubwill openin OntarioRock music, religion offered to youthsA 1.500 seat youth-oriented rockwmusic night club slated to open Tuesday in Ontario will be more than a little different from the usual night club:— Only soft drinks, near beer and hot dogs will be served— Drug and alcoholism counseling will be offered upstairs— On Sunday nights. Christian rock bands will perform and admission will be free— Anyone who is high school age or over will be admitted— There will be 15 pinball machines and 10 pool tables in thelobbvThe major attractions at N Good Company. 831 E Holt Blvd., will be the rock groups, including Schucks (for the opening). Canned Heat (Nov 7-8 weekend) and Undisputed Truth (Nov 14-15 weekend*.N Good Company is located in the former Ingram's Supermarket, which, after a remodeling at a reported cost of $250,000. was turned into the North 40. a country-western night club which closed down earlier this vearThe principals in N Good Company are Dr Richard Dodge. 41. a Riverside psychologist, and Raymond Duff. 31. previously a theater operator and distributing company ownerDuff said Wednesday that the idea came from a Washington state skating rink which was converted into a non-alcoholic rock music night club on Friday and Saturday nightsIt was a tremendous success The kids appreciated it and there were no disturbances. ’ Duff saidIndicating he wants the same results in Ontario. Duff said ‘ We believe the community needs this The kids have nowhere else to go.He said.
