Hudler Is Honored As'Rotarian Of MonthHerbert Hudler of Hudler-Moore Lumber Co., inc.,1‘Mr* Civic Worker of La Marque”, has been named * ‘Rotarian of theMonth’ for the month of October.Hudler was presented with a certificate and honored at a recent meeting of the La MarqueRotary Club, of which he is a charter member and has a 15-year perfect attendance record.He is also a past president andsecretary of the club.Outlining the civic accomplishments of Hudler since he became a La Marque resident in 1947 is practically impossible, but here are a few highlights; past member of LaMarque School Board; past member of La Marque City Council; past president and now a director and chairman of the executive committee of La Marque Chamber of Commerce; director of United Fund campaign;staunch supporter of the Bov Scout organization; active member of the First Baptist Church; and “Mr. Senior Citizen of La Marque for 1961.”A native of McDade, Bastrop County, near Austin, Hudler lived a number of years in West Texas before coming to Galveston and later to La Marque.
