Those .Gallant Fire Laddies Will Dance Nov. 16th, at LyonFire prevention week, In Hock Rapids, at least, will come the third week in November, and on the (sixteenth day of the month —the occasion of the annual Fireman’s ball, to be held at the Lyon hall. Fire prevention, aft-er all, depends locally upon the. members ,of the Rock Rapids vol- • tmtecr department, and since they have chosen thut date for their annual dance, all our residents are but too glad to agree.This year it’s the thirty-sixth annua! danco. The thirty-sixth milestone reached by an organisation which has ever been self supporting, and which, If present sentiment continues, will always be “on their own.” Although* the local company has no visible means of support, It can not bo arrested for vagrancy. All It does is fix the date for Its an mini / dance, and a generous public does the rest. Its wants are few, and the revenue from the annual affair makes both • ends meet,,till time for the next; one.Brandt’s Hot Points orchestra, of ‘Wells, Minn., have been secured to play for the coming dance-—an assurance of good music. It would be advisable5 to purchase your tickets as early as possible—just try to avoid flic rush!
