Said he, “My father, the late James Ingels erected the dwelling now occupied by Martin Doyle in 1843. burning the brick that entered into its construction on the \ spot. My grandfather, Boone Ingels, came with his parents to Kentucky when he was hut one year old. They floated down the Ohio River to Mays-ville arriving in the blue grass and built the old stone dwelling at Muir, ! Ky., which is still standing.” Mr.. Ingels said his grandfather operated a hat factory just above where the bridge on the Maysville division of the Louisville Nashville railroad crosses Stoner creek and that his father was the selling agent a 1 over Central Kentucky. Among those still living who at that time was employed in the hat factory is the Hon. John T. Hinton, Democratic nominee for Mayor, who began work at the age of seven years, earning in that way the first picee of money he received for wages. Mr. Ingels who is a brother of Mr. W.
