And Arkalalah is a community holiday which is as legal as Fourth of July or Christmas even if Congress hasn't sanctioned it.When school starts in September youngsters begin talking about Arkalalah. They come homewith their stories about what they will do during the celebration. Finally the whole town and countryside is making preparations for this event. It started in 1928 and this is the 28th edition of Ark-alalah. War years brought a temporary halt to the ce 1 *,-• or but the spirit has always tte.n evident.Arkalalah started as a fall festival for children and vnon developed into a big party for people fromall walks of !ife and from »he entire area. It has gotten so former residents come hark for this celebration like they do at Christmas for a family reunion.in the homes it is discovered that a key worker— and any member of a committee is a main cog— if Iis ihas not been given credit. »sCIOThis is our means of saying ‘Thank You to the so people who have a part in staging this annual show cor we call Arkalalah.
