Hunt Binkley is cutting down on community work. “I've decided to cut down for a while and focus on the practice and family. says the Brandon native Even balancing a familylife and a busy career can prove to be tough, but can beaccomplished with a fair bit of organization, and a very gixid staff.To help lighten the load. Hunt Binkley employs a woman to come to her home and care for her sons ages 3 and H months. In her 18th street office, she staffs one full-time employee and shares a receptionist andoffice building withChartered Accountant RossEastley The combination of alawyer/chartered accountant office, has never been tried in Brandon, but has been used quite often in other centres. She enjoyed nursing, but began to notice limits to the protession I couldn’t see niysell in a life-long caret'!'. not with thehierarchy or levels ofnursing.Hunt-Binkley returned to University of Manitoba’s faculty of Law and after articling in Brandon, was called to the bar in 1984.The legal profession was not foreign to Hunt-Binkley.Anna's father A.W. HuntQ.C. had practiced in Brandon for many years.After the birth of her second child, her father came out of retirement to help in her new practice while she spent time with thenew baby.Hunt-Binkley finds a senseof accomplishment in thelegal profession she did not find with nursing. Whether doing a will or real estate work. says Hunt-Binkley of her clients, 1 see them right through 1 conclude it and see it as a job well done.” Hunt Binkley says there are no immediate plans to expand her 18th Street office, though she may liMik at taking on partners in the future. 1 can't see myself working as a sole practitioner forever.
