Raymond E. Hawkes, also known as Raymond E. Brown, of Peaks Island was held for the superior court at Portland, after preliminary hearing on charges of assault with [intent to kill Kenneth G. Bagiev, and | his brother, Harold E. Bagley, and ona vice charge in connection with analleged attack upon their sister,I Mary, aged 15, in the rear of their, home at Cape Elizabeth Sundaynight. Kenneth, who was shotthrough the chest with a 32-calibreGerman automatic revolver, is in ahospital in serious condition. Haroldf received a bullet in the arm. Hawkeswas alleged by the Officers to haveconfessed that he fired at them. Hehad lived at East Millinocket two years.
