Wichita Falls, Texas, Thursday Evening, October 22, 1959Page 9ALESSON IN THRIFT—These four fourth grade students in Thomas Jefferson Elementary School in Western Hills, Wichita Falls’ newest public school are typical of the thousands throughout the city who made savings deposits on Bank Day Tuesday. These deposits go to Wichita National Bank. Opening for the first time last September, the school is proud of its record of more than 50 per cent participation in the school’s thrift plan. Of the 243 students eligible, 147 opened savings accounts on the first Bank Day. These days are held each Tuesday. The group includes, left to right. Tommy Clanton.
