Mrs. Lester Howick was co-hostess.Miss Elaine Cencel, mezzo soprano, assistant professor of voice, accompanied by Dale Millen. piano, assistant professor of piano, of the University of Arkansas faculty, presentedthe program. Selections heard wire ‘ Amour! viens aider ma faiblesse!” by Saint-Saens; “Wie Sollten wir Geheim Sie Halten, R. Strauss; “Von ewiger L i e g e,” Brahms; “Traume.” Wagner; and selections by Mahler.Guests were Dr. Campoeil Johnson, the orchestra’s new condulctor, and Mrs. Johnson, Miss Elizabeth Ellis, Mrs. Charles E. Bishop. Mrs. Joy Pratt Markham, Mrs. Victor Watts, Mrs. Roy Rom. Mrs. O.E. Fold vary, Mrs. Louise Bonner, Mrs. Heydon Lewis, president of the Society Laird Archer, Dr. Wilma C. Sacks, Mrs. Aubrey Harvey, Mrs. Stephen .Gates, Roy Nastasi, vice president; and Mrs. Robert Leflar, who mesided at the coffee service.COMB S CHAPELMrs. James W. Bryant was hostess at the clubhouse to 11 members. Mrs. Hugh Jeffus became a member.Mrs. Alma Potts read a poem, and Mrs. Tryon Lewis gave an inspirational talk, “The Heavens Declare the Glory of God.” Committee reports were heard and plans were made to have a bazaar at the November meeting. Irvin Hutchins was in charge of the program and spoke on adding gourmet touches to commercial cake mixes. She illustrated her talk with two cakes which were served with the noon luncheon. Mrs. Stanley Potts gave a demonstration on how to trimand control weeds and grasses in borders and hard to reach areas.The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 13 with Mrs. A.J. Meinert as hostess.MOUNT COMFORTMrs. Geneva Nelson and Mrs. Helen Smith were hostesses to ten members when the group met at the clubhouse on Thursday.Devotions were given by Mrs.
