The Somersetsand the Black Watch were left in. Neither side scored during thetime of play. The committee decided tocontinue the game for twenty minutes, the teams changing sides after the first ten minutes. At the end of the twenty minutes each side had secured a corner, hut no goals had been kicked. The committee ordered the teams to play for another fifteen minutes, changing sides after seven and a half minutes. In the second half of this period the Somersets kicked the first and only goal madeduring the match.
