T-R'Tom DunkesNew stationKent State University President Carol Cartwright cuts a cake to celebrate the groundbreaking Friday for a WKSU repeater station at the university’s Tuscarawas County campus at New Philadelphia. Joining in the celebration were Gordon Keller (L), vice provost for KSU southern campuses; John Perry, general manager of WKSU and Harold Shade, Tuscarawas campus dean. Groundbreaking for a Wooster station will be held Oct. 25. The mid-power radio stations initially will rebroadcast the WKSU signal, but later will have the capacity for independent programming.
