Mrs. Braekin hadthe rope around the calf’s neck in six and two-fifth seconds after the chase started. This is good time in any body’s rodeo.This waa nothing new for the lady rodeo performer. “Every since I was\*,* \big enough to sit ulone I have been riding horses,” Bhe said. Mrs. Braekin was before her marriage, Dorothy Lambert, ami the Lambert family has dealt in cattle and horses for years.When the woman wag asked concerning BouBe work, sho smiled and said, “I hate it,” Bbe continued bysaying I had*rather ride a horse and be out In the open where the fresh air tyrevaiie.”cattle and she has a prize black pony that she rides over the prairie to look after the herd. She has only been a house wife for two years and said, “My husband was in the rodeo but he fouled out and I had to enter to show the men how it was really done ” Bhe was the only woman in the calf roping contest and did not enter until It had already started.“I think where I learned most ofmy cow puncher stunts was from my grandfather.” she said. Her grandfather was the late. “Babe” Lambert and is known over Texas for his cattle business.
