Miss Darko elected area Tri-Hi-Y officerBY JILL STEVENSON HHS Newt StaffPaulette Darko, representing Hubbard Tri-Hi-Y, was elected this year's social chairman of the Mahoning Valley Hi-Y Council, at ameeting held on October 2, in the central Young Men’s Christian Association, according to Mrs. Ruth Vuko-vich, advisor of the Hubbard Tri-Hi-Y Club.The council consists of representatives from the area Hi-Y AND Tri-Hi-Y clubs . It serves as the main body of these area clubs, whereby theaMOTORCYCLES Motorcycles, as a means of economic transportation, arerepresentatives offer suggestions and plans for the year’s activities. The YMCA advisor is Miss Ellen Wakeford.Other officers of this year’s council are president, Dave Bozanich from Chaney HighSchool; vice president, Patty Dannalchick representing Campbell High School; and secretary, Dave Burley, also from Chaney High School.As social chairman, Paulette’s chief responsibility will be organizing the Winter Wonderland Ball.Paulette is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Darko, 154 South Main St. Besides being a member of Tri-Hi-Y, she is also active in Future Teachers of America, A’Capella Choir and Band.PAULETTE DARKO
