D.A.R. Groups Plan MarkerNear LowellOld Stone Burr Will Mark Three Historic Spots Along RiverJumps Harlan Chapter of D. A. R and John Sop Chapter of D. A. II. of Nrw London are preparing to mark the site of the old flour mill which originally stood on the north banks of the Skunk river at, Lowell and also the site of the corn mill and saw mill on the south banks of the river. The plans arc to place a monument dedicating It to the three historic spots.Instead of using a boulder for the monument a more appropriate marker will be placed, it being the original French Mill stone burr brought to this country in 1837 and placed In the original mill In 1838, one year later.The exact time of these dedication services have not yet been definitely set but will possibly be the last Sunday In October.At the meeting Tuesday evening at which time the dedication of the Mill , sites was discussed, the. district D. A. It meeting which Is to be held in Winfield Saturday Oet. 18th. was also discussed. AH D. A. R.'s are urged to attend. There will be a luncheon at 12:30 and an afternoon meeting. lt;
