The two j' excellent mule teams exhibited by Melvin Stoat1 and Ord MeMillen attracted much attention.An excellent exhibit, of Guernsey cattle was the largest part of ihc dairy display. There was also a good showing of Angus, Jersey and Holstein.The exhibits of vegetables, farm products, canned goods, quilts and fancy work was very extensive and the school house was Inadequate for their proper display, A very interesting display of mounted animals * and skins was shown by Charles Card,• The 4-H Pig Feeding Club held their round-up In charge of the club leader, Shields MeMillen. The pigs were scored on the basis of daily gain, merit, feeding, showmanship and method of management. The heaviest gain was made lt;by the pig owned by Richard MeMillen, Over 125 day feeding period, Richard's pig gained one and eight-tenths pounds per day, The pig weighed 21 pounds at the start on June 6 and on Saturday weighed 247 pounds. Blue ribbons were awarded to Howard and iRiehardi MeMillen, red ribbons to John George, Ronald MeMillen and Carl Roof and a white ribbon to Wayne Stear. The official 4-fH club riibbons were awarded by ■County Agent J, W, Warner,Judging was done -by Harry Poor-baugh, County Agent of Jefferson county, who also judged the other livestock and farm exhibits. The borne exhibits were judged by Misa Bessie Owen.The roundup of the 4-H Potato club was another feature of the community lair, 'Blue ribbons were awarded to Beryl and Warren Nichol, red ribbons to Carl and John Wadding and Harold I-Iill, and white ribbons to Clair Stear and Bud Lockhart. The potato club was judged on the basis of ylpld, exhibit and record.This was the first community show staged 'by the people of the Ox Hill community.
