Gallatin presiding.Mr. G. W. Moore, owner of the I Moore Monument Works, was the! speaker of the evening. |fr. Moore I gave an interesting and instructive talk on monument history from Bible! times down to the present day. Mr. Moore went into particular detail as to how granite is Quarried at the present day by the use of modern me-. thods, and told of the various processes which are gone throng* with! to make the finished monument. Mr. | Moore's talk was greatly enjoyed by] the Kiwanians.r j John A. Wisdom gave a splendid P account of the recent dedication ^ ceremonies of the new State Capitol] building at Jefferson City. Mr. Wfa-j dom was in charge of tbe Uviogston County float in the parade, and started that the float received much comment and praise. The representation of Livingston County was made possible through a donation made by r the County Court. Tbe ceremonies] y at night included a great historical pageant representing the bistory of f Missouri.1 The famous Kiwanis quartet was 5 born anew Monday evening, and de-? lighted with a~numher of pleasing selections. The quartet Is composed of Messrs. Fred W. Coraue, Virgil B. s' Hunt. Ben C. Jones and Irvin W. Wat-I kns. it seemed just like old times to havt« the quartet again. The attendance prize glTeti by Frank Boeh-ner was received by Arthur E. Gibson. The following Kiwanians and their Kiwanis Queens are attending the District convention in Wichita: President Carny Turner, Secretary Clyde C. Maxwell, Ben Clayton, Joe Phelps, and Vera C. Moore.
