A Happy Reunion.Last Sunday, the beautiful residence of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Lashley jn Eugene was the Beene of one of the most pleasant events in the history of the town, the occasion being the 7lBt anniversary of Mr. Lashley’s birthday. Friends and relatives from far and near gathered in to help make the welkin ring. Peaceful old age, proud youth and happy childhood blended in the effort to fill the passing hours with happiness and to make that ddy one long to be remembered by each and every one present, and to be handed down to the coming generations as a day of pleasure par excellence.The table not only groaned under its load of good things, but shrieked aloud at the jokes and the ever increasing flow of wit and humor that surrounded it. The afternoon and evening was spent in listening to music and to narratives of olden times, stories of more modern times and hopes and dreams of the years to come. With games for the children and quieter pastimes for the elders, all present were more than satisfied with the entertainment orovided for*the occasion.There were forty-eight that sat down the tables. Those present were: D. B. Lashley and wife and daughter of eattle, Wash.; Mrs. Charlotte Sims of alama, Wash.; Dan Lashley and wife and Willis Lashley and Bon and Mrs, Sarah Dicken and daughter, Mrs. Anna Chilcott, of Danville; Ray Davis of Georgetown; John White of Moundville, W. Va:; Mrs. Samuel Kinderman, Mrs. Lucy Kinderman, John Kinderman and wife and daughter, Alex Kinderman and wife, Sam Hahn and wife and son, Mr. and Mrs. Gosnell and daughter, Mrs. Kate Habnf Mrs. Martha Sollars, Amos Sprouls and wife and two children, Mrs. D. L. Sollars and son, Mrs. Maria Mason, Wm. Wigley and wife. Mrs. Jane Davis. Miss Parolee Fable, Fred Fable and wife and four children, Ja3. Lashley and wife and John H. Lashley and wife.
