.NASSAU, (Nev Prov/dence) September -ij* ESTER DA Y ^cpirt of admiralty was held, purfu-*'jL ant to adjournment, for the trial of feveral perfons for piracy, c. when James Ward, late commander of the fchooner Mufkogee Mekko, and Richard M4Evo}v were convied of being wilfully accefurv to carrying of! the faid fchooner, and after a trial of feveral hours the court pronounced fe*:tence of death, and ordered their execution to take place on fuefiay the 28th inftant, at low water mark, between the Parade and Fort Charlotte. The court then adjourned until Tuefday uerit, fer the trial of the other perlcns implicated. lt;ij *, l|September 17. Arrived, the fliip Alexander, capt. M* Donald, frora Angola, laft from Tortola, with 161 fiaves, in high health, configned to Ji*ires Mofs, cfq.September 21. This day the high court of admiralty met, agreeable to adjournment, and proceeded on the trial of four perlHrs charged with piracy, belonging to the Mufkogee Mekko, taken at Harbour Ifiand. They Were i all four found prnltv, and ientenced t death#oArrived, the ihip Mary, cant. Durach, from the windward coafi of Africa, with 200 negroes, in good health, configned to Janies Mofs, efc. ||| mitSSeptember 22. YePterday a court of admiralty was held, purfuant to adjournment, for the trial of fun dry perfons, accufed of piracy, c. when William Davis Willoughby, Abfalom S. Vermon, James Wood, and John Allen, after a trial of iix hours, received fentence cf death, and were ordered for execution, between the ebbing and flowing cf the tide, 011 Tuefday the 5th day of Oftober next, between Fort Naflau and Fort Charlotte. The court then adjonrhed until this day, when Charles Ward, William Evans, William Kelly, and James Campbell, who, from a number c* favorable circnmfrances, had been admitted evidences on the part of the crown, were brought to the bar and difcharged.
