The court then adjourned until Tuefday next, for the trial of the other periens implicated.September 17. Arrived, the fhip Alexander, capt. M‘Donald, Iror.i Angola, lad from Tortola, with 161 Haves, in high health, confvgned to James Mofs, cfq.September 21. This day the high court of admiralty met, agreeable to adjournment, and proceeded on the trial of four periHrs charged with piracy, belonging to the Mufkogee MekLo, taken at Harbour 'Hand. I hey were all four found guilty, and i’entenced t death.Arrived, the iiiip Mary, capt. Durach, from the windward coad ol Africa, with 200 negroes, in good health,configned to James Mofs, efo.September 22. \ ederday a court of admiralty was !held, purluant to adjournment, for the trial of l'undiy perfons, accufed of piracy, See. when William Davis Willoughby, Abfalom S.' Vermon, James Wood, andJohn Allen, after a trial of lix hours, received fen fence of death, and were ordered for execution, between the ebb- \ ing and flowing of the tide, 011 Tuefday the 5th day ofOAober next, between Fort Naffau and Fort Charlotte. The court then adjourhed until this day, when Charles Ward, William Evans, William Kelly, and James Campbell, whoj from a number c favorable circumftances, had been admitted evidences on the part of the crown, were brought to the bar and difcharged. After which five negro men, taken on board the fchooner Mufkogee, were aliodifcharged.September 28. On Sunday the brig Sheerwater, capt. Thurdon, arrived from Penfacola.By accounts received from that quarter it appears thatlittle doubt is entertained by* the Spani/li government oftue furrender, finally, not only of Louifiana, to-:t!-■French, but of the l londas alio.
