Dachko, 70, of 2538 v Blossom I,ane, a retired pilot from e Beckett Aviation, died at 4:40 a.m. g Oct. 12, 1987, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, c Youngstown, following a short ^illness. lt;He was born Jan. 27,1917, in New Castle to John and Mary Yakubik jDachko. lt;He married the former Eleanor Kraus on July 1, 1945, and shesurvives.A member of St. Camillus Church, Mr. Dachko was also a member of the Slovak Club, Bessemer Croation Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Hump Pilot Association Inc.Mr. Dachko was a flight officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was appointed to second lieutenant and saw action in the China, Burma and India Theater of Pperation.He is also survived by one son, John P. of Cleveland; one daughter, Mrs. James (Patricia) Kopriva of Pittsburgh; and one sister, Mrs. Stephen (Jane) Ixsten of New Castle.He was also preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael.Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Noga Funeral Home Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday for St. Camillus Chprch, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rev. Timothy Evans, pastor, will officiate.Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
