Italian Citizens to Honor Columbus in Services at Church.City and State-wide observance of Discovery day Friday, marking the 431st anniversary of America’s discovery. stimulated by proclamation from Mayor Lew Shank and Governor McCray. will be conducted by churches and organizations.Mayor Shank and Governor McCray will give addresses at flag-raising exercises in the courtyard of the Holy Rosary Church. 520 Stevens St., in the afternoon as a part of all-day ceremonies by Italian citizens. The flag, presented by children of the Holy Rosary school, will be raised by Al-dredo Ressino and Philip Caito, chosen by Rev. M. Priori, pastor.Services In the church will start at 6 p. m., led by the Rev.
