By unanimous vote it was decided to support Charles A. Cross, the Democratic candidate for township coininit-teeinnh against his Republican opponent, the present incumbent, William H. Knox, and Homer Fleming, the Democratic nominee for township clerk against Edward Arcularius. his Republican rival, who has held the office for many years.It Ih believed that with united action on the part of the Hilton voters, both of the Democrats will be elected. Several of the members spoke enthusiastically In favor of this action. They declared that Hilton had not been getting proper recognition from the Township Committee and a change in the complexion of the committee would bring benefits to Hilton.Both Mr. Cross and Mr. Fleming were present and spoke. The former pledged himself to do all In his power to better the conditions of Hilton and to secure for It the many needed improvements. He also urged unanimous support of Hom»r Fleming, maintaining that while his opponent.
