Lady Eagles improve to 7-3The Tyrone Lady Eagles’ volleyball team defeated Moshannon Valley 15-5, 13-15, 15-0 last night at Moshannon Valley.The Lady Eagles were led by Stephanie Catich’s 15 service points. Lindera Nale added 13 service points to include seven aces. Amber Delbaggio had 10 service points and seven assists.Brittany Wilson chipped in with seven kills and three blocks.“It was a big win against Mo Valley,” said Tyrone coach Sue Park. We had a big lead in the second game and let it slip away. The girls went into the third game knowing what they needed to do. They did it and shut them out.”Tyrone advances to 7-3 on the season and host Claysburg-Kimmel on Thursday.The Tyrone junior varsity dropped a three game match to theLady Damsels by the score of 15-13, 9-15, 15-13.Jeri Harper led the way for the Tyrone jayvecs with 17 service points.Sara Mease added six kills.
