Mitor Boland of Sac Band.SAC TO PERFORMBy Tom Sjulin The Key Club is happy to •announce that the Strategic Ale Command Band from Offutt Air Force Base will appear in concert at Hamburg High School next Wednesday, October 16.Noted for its versatility and showmanship, the official $t*amgic Air Command Band has, provided entertainment for millions of listeners in conceit and in radio broadcasts,The 60 members of the SAC Band selected for ability, musicianship, and professional experience, comprise one of the outstanding musical organizations in the armed forces.Their versatility Is shown when performing as a symphon*Ic unit, a marching agfcrcga- lt;tion, the 16-piece ,Noteables. 10-piece “Am- i bassadors. the 20-voice ' SAC Glee Club”, society or progressive jazz combos, ^ or other instrumental and vo- 1 cal combinations. Each has been compared favorably } with similar military and J civilian musical organizations,' Tlic band has traveled throughout the United States, Spain, Puerto Rico, and Canada representing the United States Air Farce's Strategic Air Command. sIn return for their performance, the SAC Band aslts only that a noon meal be provided for the band mem ' beis- The one hour concert will begin at 11 00 A. M. in tlie High School Auditorium, with the public welcome and urged to attend.
