BoydEntertainsCharnwoodMrs. Thomas Boyd, of Oreland,was hostess to Charnwood ForestChapter of the Daughters of theBritish Empire at their regularmeeting Thursday.On behalf of the chapter, regent Mrs. John Macionis, of Elkins Park, welcomed past-regent Mrs. Harvey Crockett Jr., back from her trip to England.Ways and means chairman, Mrs. Lee Guckes, of Oreland, reported a satisfactory profit from the chapter’s September trip to Lamberville Music Circus.Mrs. Walter Liddle, of Willow Grove, has been appointed Bazaar chairman in place of Mrs. Harry Pfeil, of Hatboro, whose resignation had been regretfully accepted. Mrs. Liddle reported that the annual bazaar of the Daughters of the British Empire has this year for its theme “An Elizabethan Faire.”It will be opened at the Bellevue-Stratford, Philadelphia, by the British Consul General at noon ■on Monday, Nov. 5. There will be short speeches by two Daughters costumed to represent Elizabeth j I and Elizabeth II. Maypoles and ^pennants will give the Bellevue an * air of Merrie Olde England. , lt;At Charnwood Forest Chapter’s t booth, called Hyde Park Corner, ( will be many examples of mem- { bers’ hand work. In charge of final preparation of the articles ^ are co-chairmen Mrs. Anthony, Flacco and Mrs. P. Thomas , Smith, of Glenside. jChapter treasurer Mrs. Edward Papp, of Willow Grove, will handle finances and Mrs. Henry Bed-inger, of Hatboro, publicity.
