JUNIOR CLASS)PRESENTS PLAY1“GOING ON SEVENTEEN” TITLE OF COMEDY TO BE GIVEN NEXT WEEKt.L-.eUiL-Ih*»1-hIIneI-r-a n 10 aa-LC.heoronsibp~)I-rr.te-aThe Junior Class play, “Going on j Seventeen”, a comedy in three acts, by Hilda Manning, will be presented in the Roland High School Auditorium on Friday, October 18, at 8:00 p.m.The central character, Buddy Can-hart, is a three-dimensional study in all the serio-comic aspects of the age of adolescence. The plot revolves a-^ | bout the machinations of Buddjy and his two young henchmen, Paul and Shrimpie. Together, the three have launched a new magazine, “The Hars-risville Town Topics”, thanks to the generosity of Buddy's father in donating a hand; press. The three are, of course, conqrmfed woman-haters; con-_ J firmed, that is, until Buddy's elder sis* ter, Florence, is visited* for the summer by her school chum, Joan, and hex younger sister, Lillums.This Lillums is a 16 year-old siren and she quickly splits the ties that bind the three young musketeers. She skillfully plays one against the othe* and! havoc results.(Meantime, Buddy's father, a trusted employee of the town's bank, ^becomes involved in a serious shortage.
