SURPRISE DINNERFairbanks, Oet. 7.—A surprise dinner was given at Mrs. Sarah Bostick's last Sunday in honor of her daughter Mrs. Mat Sankey of Iowa.Mrs. Sankey was at her sister’s Mrs. Cal. Harmon’s. They prepared to go hickory nut hunting. Mrs. Bostick and her family were to go with them, but when they reached Mrs. Bostick’s they found a table stretched across the yard, loaded with the many good things to eat.Mrs. Sankey met many of her relatives and friends and a few of her old schoolmates with whom she went to school 25 years ago.Those present from a distance were Mrs. Anna Crow and daughter, Mr. John Bostick of Illinois, Mrs, Lizzie Harris and son, Mrs. Mary Foutz and brother from Graysville, Mr. John Lewis and family from Scott City and Mrs. Etta Clerking from Iowa.After dinner the photographer took the picture of the table and the people. The rest of the time was spent in music and conversation. They all left late in the afternoon reporting a jolly good time.
