China GroveBand WinsTop PrizeThe Charades of China Grove finished first in the Kannapolis Jaycees’ second annual Battle of Rands Saturday night.Their reward was $75 in cash and the right to represent Kannapolis in the North Carolina Battle of Bands at Durham.The Swinging Sensations of the Kannapolis area won second prize of $50 and the Penetrations of Charlotte won third prize. $25.The Charades, managed byBrown Overcash, rated second in the China Grove .Jaycees’ Battle of Rands several weeks ago.The nine members are Maynard Waller, Robert and IxonShecly, Paul Luckey, Junior Peacock, Davey Overcash, Gary Reece, Terry Carlisle and Joe Houston.Mike Greene, a Charlotte radio personality, was master of ceremonies for the Rattle of Rands, held at A.
