Race Cars j To Invade RubinkamSome of the nation's fastest miniature racing cars invade Rubinkam airport on Sunday as guests of the Harvey Model Race club at a meet sanctioned by the American Miniature Racing Car | Association. The first cars will j take to the oval racing strip at . approximately 10 a.m. and from then until night falls spectators will be treated to a display ofblinding speed that the racers'j standard size counterparts find it j difficult to match, j The midwest, which. President John Carlson of the Harvey club j says, has the fastest cars in the J country, will be represented by a j number of cars and pilots, j Milton Davis, a member of the j local club, who holds the world’s j record for a quarter mile at 125.18 j miles per hour, and the mile mark | of 125.45, will not have his record breaking streamline model to dis*| play because it was involved in a j smashup at Newcastle, Ind. on September 28. Davis promises, however, that his new model, which lt;has not yet made any official ap- ■ pearances, is equally fast and he lt;| will be shooting to break his own | record.
