Maybe Harris should have invented a new title for himself: something like executive patron*ifir.AYBE IT’S THE SEQUEL mentality, but the entire dory, written by Jack De Witt and directed by Irvin Kfershner, seems built to patronize since It’s about an English lord (Harris) who comes as a great white son tb the Yellow Hands tribe and who has come all the wly from over the waters to save them from their next dOOr neighbors, another tribe duped into many solemn slaughters by a group of degenerate fur traders.Harris, of course, saves the tribe from extinction and) returns “justice’’ to the big sky country but by the time “The Return of A Man Called Horse has tun itssluggish courie, few viewers reap a prodigal return.vOWEN ROIZMAN’S cinematography provides some beauty to this thematically dull effort and the Bethany theater’s; presentation in 70 millimeter and stereophonic sound [is rather nice but the movie’s hollow core, rfiade up mainly of aimless atrocities, dragged out r$fgious ritilaJs and casual prairie rides, makes the presentation, it bit of the old sound and fury that signifiesnothing. i *» •jph well, »} much for another rerun (err ... return).
