This band, composed of all local talent, will be available for parties, entertainments, etc. Denton is mayor of Driscoll.* * *The following teachers attended the Texas State Teachers Association meeting held last week in Agua Dulce: Superintendent and Mrs. GordonGreen, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Lee, Mrs. Earl Wilson, Mrs. Juanita Wilson, Mrs. Evelyn Pritchard, Mrs. Elinor Dennis, Mrs. Theo Fritts, Mrs. Corrie Stephens, Mrs. Louis Reioux and Mrs. Nina Durham.nic in Corpus Christi following surgery. She is recovering at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harvey Ermis of Corpus.Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reioux and Mrs. Nina Durham spent the week end in Monterrey.Mrs. Fred Edwards honoredher daughter, Linda, on her 13th birthday with a treasure hunt Saturday evening at her home. Twelve guests enjoyedgames and refreshments.Capt. Morris Durham, U. S.Army, has been a guest in the home of his mother, Mrs. NinaDurham.The Driscoll boys and girlsvolley ball • teams will play West Oso next Thursday afternoon — the game will be heldin West Oso.* * *The Driscoll P-TA honoredthe faculty Thursday eveningwith a reception in the schoolThe WSCS met last Tuesday♦*evening in the home of Mrs.Gordon Green. Officers for the coming year are Mrs. Green, president; Mrs. Cleve Lee, vice president; Mrs. Earl Wilson, secretary; and Mrs. Frank Bartlett, treasurer. Following the business meeting refreshments were served to nine members attending.cafeteria. Musical selectionsduring the evening were givenby Mrs. J. W. Davis at thepiano and Mrs. Del Roy Haug, soloist. Supt. Gordon Green introduced the faculty members. An arrangement of fall flowers and fruit was used for the centerpiece on the serving table.
