Murphy of this city, passed away In April of 1829. Two children of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Galt died in aifancy.An especially dose attachment . was „held _mutuaUy. by ..Mrs. _ Cook and her nieces and nephews. By them, as well as by many Intimate friends she was affectionately known , as “Aunt Hane, and she gave unstintedly of her affection in assisting in the care of those among i them who were left motherless in , early life. Hardy, of Chicago; MrMs. Fannie Brookfield Butler, wife of Earl Butler of DesMolnes, Iowa; Galt Brookfield, of Chicago; all of whom formerly lived in Sterling, and Mrs. Virginia * Murphy Brown, wife of Robert P.Brown, who. plans to move to Rock-- ford in the near future, where her husband is engaged in the insurance business, and Edwin B. Murphy, who moved to Minneapolis recently to engage in the practice ot law in that city, Mrs. Cook Is also survived by her aunt Miss Ruth Anthony, 208 West Fourth street one of the oldest and best known residents of this dty.Mrs. Code was a member of the Presbyterian church since her girlhood. She lived a quiet home lifeand endears^ .herself--to many 'friends, by whom she will’ be missed. and universal sorrow Is felt that she IS gone and another old sterling family has passed from activity into the history of this community,
