Fortunately, the weatherman looked kindly on this special occasion and co-operated with sunshine and gentle breezes.Out-of-province relatives began to arrive on the Thursday afternoon. After registration on Friday evening, they not only enjoyed the visiting that ensued, but a fireworks display and entertainment by some very talented family members. The entertainment continued oninto Saturday, culminating with a delicious supper in the evening. As the emcee, Steve Rosteski did a fine job of introducing family members -so we could all get it straight as to who was who, and who was from where! After numerous door prizes were distributed, everyone was eager to learn who would win the two cush-ions and the quilt that had been made with the family tree on them.Glenis Denham from Edmonton, the daughter of Carman Rosteski, won the first cushion. The second was wona singsong around the campfire and lots of drawn out good-byes.Family members travelled to the Valley from as far away as Texas, Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and parts of Manitoba. All of Stanley’s and Sophia’s children were in attendance, with the exception of Carman, who died in 1960, and Cassie, who passed away in 1983. Each family was represented and ages ranged from 78 years to two months.Descendants of Mike and Agnes Rosteski, John and Annie Rosteski, and Kasmir and Anne Rosteski werealso in attendance, which brought the grand total of guests to 160. Having so many cousins join us for the reunion made it a very special occasion. We hope to see you all again and look forward to the next reunion.CUSTOMAgriculturalis coordinating CustSwan RIf you require Custtwith yoiDon’tcAGRICULTURAL EMSeveral hours of dancing brought the pleasant evening to a close. After a splendid brunch on Sunday, the ball games got under way, with all ages getting into the spirit of the competition.
