Barrett was called by the defense and emphatically denied ever calling at the Hunter home, although he admitted that he had possibly passed the Hunter home on one or more occasions while looking after his property interests.■ A1 Hunter, Guy Hunter, Fred Hunter, Mrs. George Mitchell, the Craigs, who are neighbors, Dick Stein and Charles Momingstar and others were called, all of whom testified that theyhad visited the Hunter home but had found no one present except the family and that they had witnessed no irregularities.Charles Morningstar made a good witness for the defense and admitted calling at the Hunter home to keep company with Miss Opai, hut had never found other persons present except Dick Stein who had his washing done' by Mrs. Hunter.
