Amling’s Haunted House Opens TodayAmling’s Flowerland's famous Haunted House will open today, October 4, for its 26th consecutive year. Designed to amuse the children and scare the grown-ups, the interior of Amling’s Haunted House is completely darkened with lighting and sound effects creating an eerie atmosphere.The weird wailing of the wicked witch and the creaking of the opening and closing of caskets add to the spookiness of the structure, along with a caged costumed gorilla, Frankenstein monster, skeletons and a cemetery with tombstones occupying the maze of interior passageways.Carnival rides, demonstrations on carving and decorating pumpkins, and a flo wer festival of fall bouquets are also to be found on Amling’s grounds during Haunted House hours, which are: Monday through Friday, 7 to 9 p.m.; Monday, October 22, 1 to 9 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 p m. The House will be open until October 31.Admission is 40C per ad alt and child, with attendince by children eight and up recommended.
