It now become our duty, melancholy though itbe, to furnish our readers with somemfurther details of the life of this worthyI BrHon. Obadiah Wellington Rose was mman and excellent citizen.born in Guernsey county, Ohio, June 9,18*20. being at the time of his death, 47years of age.possesseil but few advantages of education. ^a m % %At the age of 21, he could not read wellenough to attend Sabbath School.Feeling the difficulties lie encountered Cfrom the want of learning, he formed tlt;the inflexible resolution to study, andmake his mark in societ}'. In the pros-edition of this object he had to encounter great difficulties. From his slenderIearnings of 3lt;4 cents per day he savedsufficient to purchase books, and defraythe expenses of education.
