Obadiah Wellington Rose was mman and excellent citizen.born in Guernsey county, Ohio, June 9,18*20. being at the time of his death, 47years of age.possesseil but few advantages of education. ^a m % %At the age of 21, he could not read wellenough to attend Sabbath School.Feeling the difficulties lie encountered Cfrom the want of learning, he formed tlt;the inflexible resolution to study, andmake his mark in societ}'. In the pros-edition of this object he had to encounter great difficulties. From his slenderIearnings of 3lt;4 cents per day he savedsufficient to purchase books, and defraythe expenses of education.
