From the Bloomfield correspondence in the Ottumwa Courier of Oct. 1, we clip the following in relation to a woman who is quite well known to a number of our citizens, having visited here, and at one time gave one of her entertainments to a selected company. ‘ ‘Mrs. Carrie Jacobs-Bond, who spent last week at the Steckle home, gave a concert in the Steckle music rooms Saturday evening. The entertainment was well attended, as her genius as a 'singer is appreciated in this city, where she interested a large audience abont a year ago. Mrs. Bond’s programs are particulaly charming from the fact that the entire program consists of her own compositions, both vocal and instrumental. ”
