MILITIAMay Participate in High School Corner Stone Laying.A grand military display may be made in connection with the ceremony of laying the corner stone of the new High school building at East Sixth and Spring streets, on Saturday afternoon, October 10. Efforts are being made to secure, the presence of six companies of the In* diana National Guard, which will go into camp at West Point this week and will be returning home about the day of the corner stone ceremonies.A meeting of the joint committee com* posed of the members of the sehool board and Masonic fraternities of the city has been held and partial arrange* ments made for the ceremonies. Mayor Shrader will be asked to declare a half holiday from 1 to 5 o’clock on the day of tne corner stone laying.It is the intention to give a lengthy parade and all the fraternal and benevo* lent societies of the city will be invited to participate. These with the military companies will make a very imposing parade. The line will be lead by a platoon of police, in command of Col. John Shntt, and the members of the Masonic grand lodge of the state, the city officials, members of the school board and others will be in carriages.The impressive ceremony of laying the corner stone will be condncted by William E.
