E ON FEB. 1The famous band of the American Roiling Mill company of Middletown, will present a concert in Memorial hall on Wednesday night, Feb. 1, acceding to announcement made today* The band wlU he brought to this city under auspices of the Eaton Drone music fund and Ss sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce.The band is cbmposed Of G7 musicians and is said to he one of the finest industrial bands in the country. It is conducted by Frof. Frank Simon who for a number of years was assistant to John Philip Sousa.Eight artists, who? have been loaders in symphonies and bands Qf the great capitals of Europe and Australia. will accompany the band to Zanesville. The Armco band ot Middletown lias a \vonderf\U musical library. and under the direction or Mr* Simon the musical organization hr.H gained wide fame.The Armco band has broadcast over the radio from Cincinnati and other points, and as a result of this broadcasting a demand was created fm* a tour The Armco officials consented to this tour and the band is to visit Springfield. Columbus, Day-to'i and mauv other cities, and willalmost certainly play every city where an Armco plant Is located, as well as Zanesville.The Chamber Of Commerce \va» approached about under writing niuL sponsoring the concert here and tlie details were worked cut by Karl S Dixon, manager of the local chamber, in co-operation with the Eaton Drone Memorial Music fund.
