Toth/Huff mastertoPerformFaculty Series Features Sonata RecitaAndor Toth, concert violinistand coordinator of the string faculty at the University, and Drusilia Huffmaster, guest faculty artist from Southwestern University, will appear in a sonata recital Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. in Recital Hall as a presentation of the Department of Music Faculty Concert Series.Toth, described by the Los Angeles Times as “ ... a brilliant violin soloist,” is a member of the Alma Trio, a chamber ensemble that has won both national and international acclaimin tours of the United States, Europe, the Soviet Union, Japan, Australia, and Canada.AS A MEMBER of the Alma Trio, the violinist performed inthree concerts in California earlier this season.A native of New York City,Toth's performing career began shortly after his graduation from the Juilliard Graduate School ofMusic, where as a fellowship student he became the youngest con-certmaster of a professional orchestra in America.At 17, he was the solo violinistand concertmaster of the worldfamous Ballet Russe.
