A construction loan wasneeded, but such a loan is very expensive and the local companies agreed to wait for payment until the ouilding was finished and the club could arrange the loan that will finance the cost of construction.The architecture of the new dub home is of the English type. The first.tory is constructed of rough - texture tapestry brick, with the second story of stucco and half timbers. The wood of the exterior trim is rough-cut cypress, stained Vandyke brown. The roof is of asphalt shingles. Windows are of the English casement -ype and the building is screened throughout with copper mesh. The front verandah has a fior of rubble random tile bordered with rough-surface tapestry brick. The walk is of this same tile, with brick border, and the steps are of brick. The house is act back about forty feet from the street, and the yard has been terraced at a distance of sixteen feet from the house.The club home contains in addition o the quarters of the Woman’s Ciubn the first floor, two five - room apartments on the second floor. These, as has previously been stated, have both been rented. One is to be occupied the first of December; the other the first of January. The rent from these apartments will take care of and ultimately retire the long - term loan which finances the building.
