Polish Folk Dances WinApplause at Art ExhibitIn connection with the opening of the exhibition of the sculpture of Carl Milles, the Baltimore Museum of Art presented an elaborate program, Friday, November 22.Among other works, the famed St. Louis Fountain, symbolizing the wedding of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, is on display.The fountain group suppliedthe theme for the ballet staged by the dancers of the Estelle Dennis | Concert Group. The ballet, which was tittled “The Marriage of the Rivers,” was personally directed by Estelle Dennis.Folk dances were presented by. several groups from the International Center. The Ukrainian Sword Dance was presented by Albert Stvsley and Joseph Dmy-triw. Members of the Italian Clubpresented several dances.The numbers presented by theFolk Dance Group of the PolishStudents Association were themost enthusiastiscallv received of•the evening. This group is directed by Miss Frances Lipa. Taking part in the program, in addition to Miss Lipa, were Miss Henryka Warminska and Messrs Joseph Zajqc and Edward Podles.According to Museum authorities, the sculpture of Carl Milles will be on display until December29.
