-y---L. J. Garrett, who had been at Nashville with his fine horse, St. Paul, returned from there Sunday morning. His horse started in some of the races, but was only as good as third on two occasions. Grief Kennedy was there with Jack o’ Diamonds and won a race. Both horses are now in New Orleans and Mr. Garrett expects to hearof their doing good work, as they are in experienced hands. jc
