Adams gets awardTommie Adams, at left, is shown receiving the Benton Optimist Club's Heritage Award at a recent meeting of the organization. Making the presentation is Steven Smith, club president. This award was presented to Adams for outstanding service during the 1975 76 Optimist year, in which he served as a member of the Youth Ap predation Week Committee, Oratorial Contest Committee, Annual Christmas Tree Sales and Baseball Program. Also, at the meeting new officers were installed by Optimist Lt. Gov. Ritchie Smith and past Lt Gov Bill Jones. The new officers are: Smith, president; Lewis Greer, vice president; H. A. Steele, secretary; and Greg Gattin, treasurer.
